Position: Director of Dealership Marketing

Your area of focus.
The Director of Dealership Marketing is a strategic, data-driven, and inspirational leader who brand growth through marketing strategy and strong dealer partnerships across our national network. This individual will oversee a team of account manager and collaborate directly with general managers and dealership stakeholders to drive customer acquisition, brand awareness, and local engagement. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves in campaign execution and steering high-level marketing strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
This role is a critical connector between national marketing initiatives and on-the-ground dealership performance. You will blend corporate strategy with regional agility-building scalable systems, fostering innovation, and ensuring measurable ROI across our retail footprint.
What drives your day-to-day?
- Developing a marketing strategy for each of the dealerships
- Working with other marketing departments (media buying, design, web development) to coordinate delivery of marketing campaigns
- Meeting regularly with Marketing Managers to oversee and offer direction on designated projects
- Conducting market research to locate new customers and monitor competitors
- Managing the store level budgets, including all expenditures for campaigns and research
- Working with the sales department to create a strong advertising campaign and determine pricing
- Organizing events or company participation in conferences to boost interest in its products and services
- Lead, coach, and support a high-performing team of 5 account managers
- Set clear goals, KPIs, and performance standards, while providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative and high-accountability team culture that supports innovation and learning.
What are the must-haves...
- Strong understanding of field marketing dynamics and the ability to adapt strategies by location.
- Data-driven mindset with experience in performance marketing, campaign tracking, and budget accountability.
- Experience in marketing and running a marketing team.
- Proven marketing campaign experience.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask.
- Strong copywriting skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage budgets.
- Professional and proactive work ethic.
- High competence in project and stakeholder management.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with digital marketing forms such as social media marketing and content marketing.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field.
- 7+ years leading marketing strategies and teams
- Experience with marketing automation, CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, CDK), and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Looker).
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
