Being a Service Advisor at Park Avenue BMW Brossard is much more than gathering information about vehicles, it's about creating a relationship of trust with customers and ensuring that their maintenance and repair needs are fully understood and met. Reporting to the Service Manager, you'll play an essential role as the interface between the customer and the workshop, ensuring a smooth and professional service experience. Description of daily tasks:
Your responsibilities, your avenue to success:
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival and gather information about their vehicle;
- Establish a relationship of trust by understanding the customer's needs, interpreting the information gathered and passing it on to the technician;
- Explain work performed and associated costs clearly and accurately;
- Record details of vehicle problems accurately on the repair order;
- Advise customers on the care of their vehicle and the importance of regular maintenance, in line with the manufacturer's recommendations;
- Inform customers about promotions and services offered by the dealership;
- Take customers for a test drive, if necessary, to confirm problems or refer them to a technician;
- Schedule service appointments and prepare detailed cost estimates;
- Establish method of payment and obtain credit approval if necessary;
- Collaborate with shop foreman to plan work to be performed;
- Communicate any changes in maintenance to customers;
- Present self in a professional manner and perform other duties as required by management.
Profile:
- Excellent ability to communicate tactfully and diplomatically;
- Bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken;
- Previous experience in customer service;
- Knowledge of the automotive industry;
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Service Advisor.
