VEHICLE MAINTENANCE DISPATCHER TECHNICIAN (ADVISOR).
TECHNICAL SERVICES, LOGISTICS AND FLEET MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT

Work schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., available on call in case of emergency.
Familiarization period: 108 hours

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Reporting to the Fleet Manager, the Vehicle Maintenance Dispatch Technician (Adviser) plays a key role in the day-to-day management of maintenance and repairs to ambulance vehicles, as well as other cooperative vehicles. He ensures that CETAM's road vehicles are compliant, reliable and available at all times.

He or she is also responsible for coordinating appointments at the garage and with various parties, following up on preventive and corrective maintenance programs (PEP), and monitoring repairs carried out by various suppliers and mechanical partners.

More specifically, the candidate must:

Coordinate maintenance and repairs:

- Collect, analyze and process mechanical breakdown reports from paramedics and other relevant personnel;
- Plan and coordinate garage appointments for maintenance and repairs, according to operational priorities and fleet availability;
- Ensure rigorous follow-up of ongoing repairs and inform the fleet manager of progress and any anomalies;
- Collaborate with the cooperative's mechanical managers and external suppliers to optimize the management of interventions (time down);
- Carry out minor repairs on cooperative vehicles when necessary.

Administrative management and file follow-up:

- Produce detailed purchase orders and work orders in the management systems in place (SYM and Mir-RT);
- Approve and sign invoices from external suppliers for mechanical interventions;
- Closely monitor vehicle warranties and repairs, and ensure that coverage clauses are applied;
- Ensure vehicle compliance with SAAQ standards and applicable regulations;
- Apply and ensure compliance with CETAM's preventive maintenance program for all vehicles, and rigorously monitor its execution;
- Coordinate and monitor radio communication equipment in conjunction with the Centre de communication santé (CCS);
- Coordinate the follow-up of maintenance repairs for stretchers, chair stretchers and lifting equipment;
- Manage and monitor MDSA maintenance repairs.

Collaboration with and support for other departments:

- Work closely with Coop members to ensure optimum management of equipment and vehicles.
- Be available in case of emergency or service breakdown requiring rapid intervention.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Training and experience:

- DEP in technical or mechanical consulting or equivalent;
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience. Any other combination of education and experience deemed relevant and equivalent may be considered;
- Experience in repair management and maintenance follow-up;
- Experience in truck or ambulance manufacturing (an asset);
- Valid driver's license, class 4A (mandatory).
