Summary:
We are looking for a highly capable 310T Truck & Coach Technician to join our team, based in Markham, ON.
Responsibilities:
In the position of 310T Truck & Coach Technician your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Complete service, maintenance and repairs of all Company vehicles to both Ministry and Company standards and procedures.
- Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently and minimize equipment downtime.
- Repair waste vehicles and trucks.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic/electrical systems.
- Complete road tests on serviced vehicles/equipment.
- Complete work orders with on hand tools and equipment.
- Read and interpret manufacturer/operator manuals.
- Maintain all service records and files for vehicle maintenance.
- Respond to "on-road" service calls, as required.
- Complete preventative vehicle maintenance according to established MWSI policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all equipment, vehicles and work areas comply with safety policies and regulations at all times.
- Additional projects and duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A safety-first attitude with a familiarity with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and your responsibilities within it.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving faults efficiently.
- Hands-on experience repairing and maintaining hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Have and maintain a valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician's licence, along with any other required licences, and maintain a minimum 'G' Driver's Licence.
- The ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
- A team mindset and the ability work effectively within a team.
- Flexibility with scheduling as delays in the truck schedule may require you to work outside regular scheduled hours and on rare occasions, weekend work.
