Job Summary 

The Fleet Analyst will report directly to the Director of Mobile Assets, supporting the various sectors within the Ocean Capital group of companies. The successful candidate will have expertise in master data management and associated systems, with the aptitude to gain technical understanding of mobile assets such as heavy-duty trucks and construction related equipment. 

Responsibilities
 

  • Responsible for utilization of all telematics devices, equipment, hardware and software
  • Daily monitoring of respective telemetry portals and systems to ensure optimal functionality
  • Effective communication to respective stakeholders as needed
  • Management of various dashboards (Power BI, etc.) and other databases, with keen attention to detail on master data
  • Regular meetings to review trends, patterns and other items of concern from telematics monitoring
  • Collaboration with various operational, financial and IT stakeholders and other group departments to ensure efficient utilization of telematics and telemetry for data collection and general use
  • Document processes, procedures and system configurations
  • Ability to quickly produce reports, summaries and presentations when requested
  • Stay updated with the latest technological trends and advancements
  • Other duties and tasks, as assigned


Technical Requirements
 

  • Post-secondary degree or college diploma focusing within an area related to analytics / business systems
  • Prior experience with master data management, technical software, systems and administration, including dashboards and reporting
  • Technical aptitude and understanding of equipment and mobile assets would be a strong asset


Business Requirements
 

  • Technologically inclined and adept at learning both software and mechanical systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an affinity for troubleshooting
  • Ability to translate technical data and specifications into business cases and written materials
  • High attention to detail
  • Occasional travel may be required


Cultural Requirements
 

  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently
