Equipment and Maintenance
Location: Nisku, AB

Your Opportunity with Michels Canada

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Fleet Coordinator to support the day-to-day management and coordination of our fleet operations. This role will ensure fleet compliance, optimize vehicle scheduling, support maintenance tracking, and assist with logistical planning to keep our equipment and vehicles running safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Coordinate scheduling and logistics of company fleet assets across various sites and departments.
  • Work closely with drivers, mechanics, and managers to track vehicle usage, maintenance needs, and availability.
  • Maintain accurate fleet records, including inspections, maintenance logs, licenses, registrations, and insurance.
  • Support compliance efforts by ensuring vehicles meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with onboarding of new vehicles, including obtaining photos, specs, and updating system records.
  • Collaborate with the Transportation and Compliance Manager on tracking costs, resolving fleet issues, and improving operational efficiency.
  • Respond to and assist with accident claims and insurance processes, gathering necessary documentation.
  • Provide timely reports on fleet performance, maintenance schedules, and compliance history.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts for fleet processes and systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications
 

  • 2-5 years of experience in fleet coordination, transportation logistics, or dealership service center operations.
  • Solid understanding of vehicle maintenance schedules, documentation requirements, and safety compliance.
  • Experience with fleet management software (e.g., Geotab, Isaac Instruments) and ERP systems (e.g., Viewpoint, Fleet Focus) is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook).
  • Experience in dispatching, parts procurement, or insurance coordination considered an asset.
  • Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
