Job description
The Parts Advisor will serve as the point of contact for Lucid Service Center customers. The Parts Advisor will be responsible for communicating and interacting with customers to deliver the highest level of Lucid customer experience while ensuring that customer needs are met. This perssone is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the parts department, inventory, ordering and support for technician needs, customer counter orders, support for our body shop inquiries.
This position requires you to work with customers to determine needed repairs and services, write clear repair orders so technicians can service and repair Lucid vehicles correctly the first time, and release customers' vehicles once services are completed. Candidates will need to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, possess the ability to learn quickly and strive for perfection in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Greet customers promptly and provide an excellent customer experience at all stages of the service process;
- Ensure that customers fully understand the service process and are comfortable at all stages of their experience;
- Correctly execute visit and write-up processes, accurately determining key concerns through verbal interviews and visual assessments (accurately assess customer needs);
- Accurately document customer concerns regarding diagnosis and repair to be performed by technicians (write repair orders);
- Follow the correct procedures for documenting repair orders, i.e. the three Cs;
- Explain all service options to customers, including time and cost estimates;
- Track all customer vehicles throughout the maintenance and repair process;
- Ensure that the work performed meets Lucid's rigorous standards before the vehicle is returned to the customer - acting as the final stage of quality control;
- Invoice and collect payment;
- Perform customer service tasks such as answering the phone, making appointments (as needed) and calling customers to inform them of the status of repairs or to follow up after repairs;
- Develop customer relations leading to lasting relationships;
- Have a passion for sustainable transportation and changing the automotive industry;
- Occasionally wash, vacuum and clean windows of service vehicles before they are returned to the customer;
- Occasionally detail all vehicles prior to delivery to customer as required;
- Provide valet services for customers by delivering and picking up vehicles from customers.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years providing excellent customer experience;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Compassionate and patient demeanor;
- Problem solving and creative thinking skills;
- General automotive knowledge and parts management experience required;
- Ability to explain complex concepts to customers who may not be familiar with industry terminology;
- Ability to use basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office as well as learn proprietary DMS software;
- Valid driver's license with no suspensions within the last year.
Qualifications:
- Experience in automotive parts department or equivalent work experience;
- Knowledge of HV systems, LV systems and EV powertrains;
- Start-up experience and related fast-paced environments;
- Parts department experience in inventory management;
- Previous OEM-specific EV experience and training.
