About the position:
We are looking for a General Manager with a passion for cars to join our team at Taddeo Auto Group. This key position involves the management and performance of Volvo Laval's operations, while ensuring an exceptional customer experience and achieving business objectives.
Specifically, the jobholder manages and directs the dealership according to its fundamental objectives based on profit and return on capital by performing the following tasks personally or delegating them to subordinate managers. The candidate also assumes responsibility for maintaining the customer base and profitability of each department within the dealership, while meeting these responsibilities by adopting sound business practices.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring that each department operates efficiently and effectively to maximize overall performance;
- Develop and manage the dealership's annual budget, ensuring that financial resources are allocated wisely to support the company's strategic objectives;
- Coordinate with sales managers to optimize vehicle sales performance, by developing sales plans and monitoring key performance indicators;
- Manage human resources, including recruitment, training and talent development, to build a high-performance, motivated team;
- Work closely with the marketing department to develop advertising and promotional campaigns that attract new customers and retain existing ones;
- Manage relationships with key partners and suppliers, negotiating beneficial contracts for the dealership and ensuring strong strategic partnerships;
- Regularly evaluate business performance and adjust strategies accordingly to ensure financial and operational targets are met;
- Analyze the results of dealership operations, compare them with targeted objectives, and ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results;
- Represent the dealership to key customers, the manufacturer, shareholders, the financial community and the public.
Profile:
- Significant management experience in the automotive sector;
- Strategic vision;
- Experience in managing fixed operations and sales;
- Proven leadership and negotiation skills;
- Ability to develop business and identify new opportunities;
- Knowledge of process improvement principles (an asset);
- Excellent project management skills.
