As a Tooling Engineer, you'll be responsible for defining tooling requirements, managing mold design reviews, and overseeing the build schedule from design to tool buy-off. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze technical data (drawings, data, sketches, etc.) and provide feedback on manufacturability of products.
- Create mold specifications and support tool shop selection and mold build discussions.
- Attend weekly customer meetings and ensure tooling meets internal and external standards.
- Manage tool shops to ensure tools progress on schedule and attend tool trials.
- Troubleshoot issues with the manufacturing plant tooling team.
- Negotiate tooling costs to meet customer budgets in a timely manner.
- Provide technical support across departments and act as a communication lead between internal and external stakeholders.
- Capture lessons learned and apply to future projects for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience in injection mold design/mold tooling.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing demands.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience communicating with cross-functional teams.
- Valid driver's license.
Nice-to-Haves
- Mold design/mold maker apprenticeship considered an asset.
- Automotive industry experience.
- Moldflow certification is a strong asset.
- Familiarity with CAE, CAD, and DFM tools.

Work Environment
- Location: Woodstock, ON (onsite).
- Hours: 7am-4pm with occasional paid overtime.
- Travel: Some U.S. and international travel a few times/year.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $60,000-$75,000+ (based on experience).
- Bonus: Based on performance.
