Body Repairer

This position involves masking, cleaning or sandblasting to prepare surfaces to be painted (parts, structures, bodywork). It involves using different processes, primers and materials to prepare vehicles or parts.

Tasks:

- Review damage reports, repair orders and repair cost estimates and plan the work to be done.
- Remove dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers.
- Remove damaged fenders, panels and grilles using wrenches and a cutting torch, and bolt or weld replacement parts in place.
- Straighten bent frames using frame pulling and anchoring equipment
- File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools.
- Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs.
- Test the performance of repaired equipment and ensure compliance with restoration and repair quality standards to reduce and eliminate rework and warranty claims.
- Perform work in accordance with current industry standards and undergo training as required.
