Job description: Financial Controller

We are looking for a motivated Financial Controller to join our dynamic team. Reporting to management, the incumbent will manage all accounting and financial operations for GROUPE DEVENZO entities. This key role requires autonomy, rigor, resourcefulness and attention to detail. If you're looking for a stimulating challenge, this position is for you!

Responsibilities :

- Manage the complete accounting of two high-volume companies as well as at least five property management companies;
- Financial management of construction projects;
- Perform bookkeeping and ensure accuracy of accounting entries;
- Compile and analyze the financial activities of each department;
- Manage accounts payable and receivable;
- Ensure accurate accounting of sales;
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations;
- Prepare payroll via Nethris;
- Carry out monthly government remittances: DAS (via Nethris), sales taxes, instalments, new tire tax, luxury tax, IFTA report, CNESST, etc;
- Produce and explain interim financial statements to managers;
- Prepare monthly reports for the mechanics' parity committee;
- Perform general ledger (GL) analyses;
- Intercompany entries;
- Supervise a team and ensure effective internal controls;
- Perform any other related tasks associated with the position.

Profile:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting;
- Experience in the automotive industry (dealership): an asset;
- Mastery of the complete accounting cycle;
- Knowledge of Serti / SDS Win software: an asset;
- Experience in team management.
