Tri-City Equipment is continuing to grow and looking for a Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanic to be based anywhere in the GTA/Southwester Ontario. This position will be full time road position with a up fitted service truck. We offer a competitive wage, Dental and Medical benefits, RSP matching along with a supportive team and great culture.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Travel throughout Southern Ontario performing various repairs on heavy equipment.
- Communication internally as well as with our customers to keep everyone informed of resource requirements and equipment deficiencies
- Maintain and repair Excavators, Articulated Dump Trucks, Dozers, Loaders, attachments and miscellaneous pieces of heavy equipment.
- Service calls to repair and maintain equipment on various mining and construction sites in the area
- Perform various related duties as required
Qualifications & Experience:
- Heavy Equipment Technician, Truck and Transport Mechanic Certificate or equivalent (i.e. Red Seal)
- Apprentices will be considered
- Previous experience in the medium / heavy duty equipment or the automotive industry
- Clean valid drivers license (DZ preferred)
- Experience with applicable technology and software
- High degree of product and technical knowledge
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Professional conduct is a must to be successful in this role
- A self starter who works well alone or as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills are needed to ensure the correct parts are ordered
- Variety of skills to diagnose and repair in timely and effective manner
