Hybrid: - Position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time but the general expectation is that the employee be onsite three (3) days a week to the Oshawa and/or Markham offices of General Motors of Canada Company.

This exciting position on the Digital Innovation team is for you. In this position, you will lead a dedicated team of Marketers, Analysts & Developers to modernizing GM's marketing efforts thru the use MarTech & Data to deliver personalized experiences that deliver revenue growth. You will get to collaborate with Brand & Retail Marketing teams as well as global Digital & IT teams to build the strategic roadmap to deliver on GM's vision. The role reports to the Director, Digital Innovation.

Key Responsibilities

The Head of Performance Marketing & Data Enablement is responsible for 3 distinct functional groups:

• Data Enablement 
• Omni-Channel Customer Relationship Management (CRM) 
• Performance Marketing 

Specific Job Responsibilities: 

Performance Marketing - lead the Performance Marketing practice, empowering the enterprise with data & technology to drive innovative marketing decisions, intelligence, and business results.

Omni Channel Customer Relationship Management (CRM) - be the strategic mind and organizational enabler for all owner/prospect communications ) for all brands, regions and dealers with a focus on building customer loyalty and conquest customer acquisition. 

Data Enablement - strategic management and oversight of GM Canada's data infrastructure (DSE - Decision Support Environment) and strategic data enablement across the enterprise.

Required Skills
 

  • Strong strategic agility, painting a vision and priorities for your department and a path to execution
  • Exceptional people leadership and interpersonal skills - demonstrated ability to manage and motivate direct reports, agency partners and dealers to execute your vision.
  • Organizational agility - understanding the functional elements of multiple GMCC departments to implement CRM & Data Enablement strategies across the organization an asset
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage process and time of multiple stakeholders independently
  • Exceptional communication skills; the ability to communicate powerfully and prolifically across the organization
  • Technical competency - understanding of database management, GMIT processes, and systems and tools to access / enable data
  • Strong digital marketing and CRM acumen - understanding the CRM and Digital Marketing and media landscape, tools and best practices


Organizational Capacity
 

  • Build strong, productive relationships with GMCC marketing and functional counterparts, leveraging smart processes to drive efficiency
  • Build strong productive relationships with GM US and global peers/partners and internal and external agencies
  • Coach and develop 3 Direct reports including the Performance Marketing Manager, Manager - CRM, r and Data Enablement Manager, leveraging CAP, 1:1 meetings, CDPT, and ongoing feedback
  • Demonstrate positive contributions to VSM and the GMCC culture


Education
 

  • Bachelor's degree (Business with major in Marketing an asset)
  • Sales & Marketing: 8 to 10 year minimum
