Position Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled Light Duty Vehicle Mechanic to join our team in Prince Rupert, BC. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining and repairing light-duty vehicles, particularly pickup trucks used in construction operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our construction projects.

Responsibilities
 

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on light-duty vehicles, including pickup trucks, to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and repair or replace faulty components as needed.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Collaborate with other team members to prioritize vehicle repairs and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• May perform other duties as required

Qualifications
 

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintaining and repairing light-duty vehicles, preferably in a construction or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Certified Mechanic/Interprovincial Red Seal Certification
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have a valid class 5 (or better ) driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
