Job description

Stubbe's is a reputable family-owned and operated company with over 40 years of experience in the industry. Stubbe's started as a small precast company catering to the agricultural market and have since grown into a diversified company offering a wide range of concrete-related products and services.

This position is located in Harley, ON. (between Woodstock and Brantford)

Reporting to the fleet Manager 

Will be diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicles in the Stubbe's fleet

Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles as required, and assist senior Mechanics in the shop.

THE DAY TO DAY
 

  • Diagnose and repair vehicles in the fleeting including but not limited to heavy equipment such as redi-mix trucks, forklifts, tractors, pay loaders, trailers, and automotive vehicles
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance and repairs to ensure proper upkeep of vehicles
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure it is working properly, adjusting or replacing parts as required
  • Diagnose problems with the assistance of senior mechanics
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
  • Service attachments and working tools if necessary
  • Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniques
  • Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
  • Assist other Mechanics in the shop
  • Operate and complete all tasks in a neat and tidy order, and
  • Perform all tasks in a safe manner
  • Other duties as assigned


WHAT YOU'LL DO
 

  • Must be able to work in a self-managed team.
  • High school diploma required
  • Currently enrolled or willing to be enrolled in 310T Truck and Coach Technician program
  • Some practical mechanical experience is considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently in a busy environment
  • Strong ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Proficient in the use of all tools of trade
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong work ethic and highly motivated.
  • Willing to invest in trade tools as required
