SCOPE OF THE JOB

As a Fleet Analyst at VINFAST Auto Canada, you'll report to the Senior Manager of Sales Operations. You'll play a key role in optimizing our fleet operations. You'll analyze data, manage inventory, and develop strategies to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Your insights will drive decision-making, improve vehicle utilization, and ensure our fleet meets the needs of our organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
 

  • Analyze monthly internal order volumes to forecast future fleet needs accurately.
  • Coordinate pre-production orders with manufacturers to ensure timely delivery and meet demand.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize fleet utilization and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor and track vehicle inventory levels to optimize fleet size and composition, including replacement scheduling.
  • Evaluate vehicle performance and lifecycle costs to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Manage remarketing efforts, including vehicle disposal, to maximize resale value and minimize losses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, finance, marketing, aftersales and operations, to align fleet strategies with organizational goals.
  • Conduct data analysis and generate reports to provide insights into fleet performance and support decision-making.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to fleet management.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline fleet operations and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Provide recommendations for fleet optimization, including vehicle selection, maintenance schedules, and disposal strategies.
  • Assist in budget planning and forecasting for fleet-related expenses.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers to ensure quality service and cost-effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to fleet operations, including vehicle specifications, maintenance records, and financial transactions.
  • Maintain fleet records, uphold and create fleet processes for users and administrators.
  • Administer various Company car programs such as VIP, Employee, and preferred partners.
  • Ensure company fleet maintenance is up-to-date
  • Respond to inquiries and provide support to internal stakeholders, including fleet users and management, regarding fleet-related matters.
  • Covering retail support positions within the Sales Operations team as needed.
  • Guaranteeing timely vendor payments and monitoring departmental budgets closely.
  • Handle any other duties assigned by management related to volume and allocation management within a Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) and Franchise Dealer environment.


WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
 

  • University or College Degree (preferred)
  • Strong current automotive background at either the retailer or manufacturer level
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with customers and showroom personnel
  • Knowledge of financial principles preferred.
  • Knowledge of product planning preferred.
  • Familiarity with the VinFast and other competitor products
  • Well developed PC skills (MS Office, Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Very enthusiastic and energetic
  • Able to multitask, i.e. handle many customer relations issues at once
  • Solutions focused, strong work ethic, and desire to achieve excellence.
  • Flexibility & Adaptability - We are willing and able to respond to changing circumstances.
  • Experience with SAP or other enterprise software to manage business operations (SalesForce, MS Teams, Excel)
