We are looking for a Mechanic at our Walker Environmental Division Compound located in Niagara.

Mechanic

You are a certified Mechanic, Truck or Coach Technician (310T). You are a strong team player who enjoys servicing and troubleshooting vehicles and equipment, as well as performing preventive maintenance on equipment. You are able to work independently, interpreting work orders and technical manuals, maintaining work logs and meeting deadlines.

This is a unionized, hourly position. We offer a rate of $38.00 per hour to start and after the 3-month probationary period is over you will be increased to $39.00 per hour, and receive full benefits and pension plan. Your uniform and tools will be provided.

We're looking for someone with these skills and qualifications:
 

  • Truck or Coach Technician (310T)
  • Experience repairing and maintaining trucks through inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems.
  • Knowledge of construction/heavy equipment would be an asset, especially hydraulics, electronics and automation systems.
  • Able to lift 60lbs
  • Valid driver's license
