MILLER WASTE SYSTEMS - OTTAWA(EAST)

Title: 310T Truck & Coach Technician - Afternoon Shift

Location: 1815 Bantree St, Ottawa, Ontario, K1B 4L6

Hours: Monday - Thursday (3:00pm to 12:00am) 

Rate: $44.32 per hour

Responsibilities:

In the position of 310T Truck and Coach Technician, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
 

  • Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • The service and repair of all Company vehicles to ministry standards.
  • Will be required to repair and road test equipment, including hydraulics and electrical as well as shop maintenance.
  • Will be required to conduct vehicle maintenance according to established MWS policies and procedures.
  • Maintain all required records and files for vehicle maintenance.
  • Conduct on-road service calls as required.


Requirements:

The successful applicant will be comfortable with prioritization, planning, coordination, and organization, with an ability to respond and adapt in changing, high pressure environments. This individual will be able to assess problem situations, recognize issues, and use judgment to create solutions that meet required standards.
 

  • Successful candidates must possess and keep valid their applicable licenses including a valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician's Licence and a minimum valid 'G' class driver's licence.
  • You will have the ability to diagnose and rectify faults, as well as experience in repairing hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Your ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is key as well as working in a team environment.
  • You must be available to work late when trucks are behind schedule, as well you may be required to work weekends and holidays.
