Shop Foreman

Our Blainville Ford dealership is currently looking for a Shop Controller to join its existing team. Working closely with the Service Manager, their shared mission is to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Job overview:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Shop Controller to join our team. As Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating workshop activities. You will work closely with the team to ensure efficient, high-quality production.

Responsibilities:

- Coordinate all work to be carried out in conjunction with the service and parts department (repairs, PDI and preparation for deliveries);
- Ensure the profitability of the workshop and the quality of the work carried out;
- Ensure that technicians have everything they need to carry out repairs;
- Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures, as well as with occupational health and safety legislation;
- Foster motivation and good working relationships;
- Propose new solutions to optimize operational efficiency;
- Ensure that equipment and tools are in good working order;
- Train and coach team members.

Experience:

- Previous experience as a Shop Controller or in a similar position;
- In-depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical and hand tools;
- Strong mechanical skills and ability to solve technical problems;
- Ability to identify, take charge of and solve problems;
- Ability to adapt and keep up to date on products to meet requirements;
- Ability to build relationships with people to facilitate problem solving;
- Expertise in electricity, electronics and vehicle diagnostics;
- Interpersonal skills;
- Team-oriented;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Valid driver's licence.
