JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Summary:

Installs, configures, calibrates, and repairs technical products and systems at shop location. Provides exceptional customer service and technical aptitude for servicing vehicles and maintenance in a fast-paced environment.

Entry-level position typically requiring some prior knowledge or experience. 

Job Description:

Specific responsibilities include:

• Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on installed products and equipment
• Tear down vehicles and refit new parts accordingly to make and model
• Complete all repairs in a manner in which the repaired areas are restored to the original manufacturer's specifications, including door, hood and deck alignments, chassis and frame measurements, and welded on unibody parts
• Protect the interior and exterior non-repair areas from dust, dirt, scratches, primer, overspray, etc.
• Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves malfunctions of a moderately complex nature
• Determines when products should be upgraded or replaced
• Communicates information that requires some explanation or interpretation

Skills/Qualifications/Physical Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver's license
• Able to bend or stand at least 80% of the time; must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3' deep pit used to position self safely under cars
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning
• Capable of working any day of the week including Sundays and work in hot/cold weather conditions

• Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
• Basic computer skills: ability to use a keyboard and a mouse to correctly collect and enter information into a point of sale system
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Where applicable: ability to obtain a state-issued inspector's license is preferred
• Attention to detail
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks to accomplish goals
• Motivated self-starter who is willing to work independently and with teams
