Job description
Under the supervision of the controller, an accounting clerk handles daily deposits, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, as well as supports the sales team in certain administrative functions. The role requires attention to detail and a solid understanding of dealership operations.
Your main responsibilities will be as follows:
• Record and balance sales files while ensuring their compliance;
• Validate commission calculations for sales representatives and sales managers;
• Requesting daily checks from departments;
• Tracking sales receivables;
• Balancing certain accounts payable;
• Preparing certain account analyses for the controller;
• Assisting with requests from external auditors;
• Providing support to the controller in other miscellaneous accounting tasks.
Requirements:
• Experience as an accounting clerk (a significant asset);
• Experience with CDK software (an asset) and MS Office (Excel and Word);
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to interact with internal clients, key suppliers, and employees;
• Strong attention to detail;
• Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, perform a variety of tasks, and meet deadlines;
• Fluency in English (an asset).
