Mechanic / Automotive Technician

Chevrolet Buick GMC Valleyfield, member of Groupe Autoforce, is looking for automotive technicians / mechanics.

We're looking for technicians or mechanics to join us as general mechanic, transmission specialist, engine specialist, or other specialities.

Responsibilities:

- Depending on experience and specialties, the Mechanic will be called upon to perform various maintenance and repair work on customers' vehicles;
- Observe the operation of engines in operation, test the vehicles on the road;
- Identify the causes of defects or malfunctions and verify diagnoses;
- Repair or replace defective components or parts using hand or power tools;
- Test and adjust components to specifications to ensure proper operation;
- Complete reports to record defects and work performed.

Requirements:

- Professional experience in mechanics (automotive, heavy duty vehicles, or other similar field);
- Valid Quebec driver's licence;
- Concern for work well done and good sense of observation;
- Tool box;
- Good physical condition;
- DEP in automotive mechanics (an asset);
- Experience with GM vehicles (an asset);
- Competency card from the parity committee - CPA (an asset).
