Job description
We are looking for a Technician.
Tasks:
• Acting as a qualified Technician, being able to diagnose and make repairs in several fields;
• Executing the work described on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, according to the dealership and the manufacturer’s standards;
• Determining the cause of any defect and repairing it;
• Determining the vehicle’s defects based on the customer’s complaints and your own inspection;
• Communicating with the parts department to obtain the necessary parts;
• Keeping and labelling parts if the work is under warranty or if the customer requests it;
• Examining the assigned vehicle to determine if additional safety and maintenance work is required;
• Inspecting and testing the newly delivered vehicles for obvious damage or missing items in different driving functions;
• Installing the optional equipment requested by the customer or the dealership;
• Reporting any defect or malfunction on the equipment to your immediate superior;
• Contacting the Service Advisor and/or the Shop Foreman as soon as possible if additional work is not required or if the repairs cannot be made within the expected time;
• Informing your immediate superior of any defect or malfunction on the equipment;
• Documenting all the work done.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience;
• French and English (spoken and written);
• Mastery of Microsoft and Serti software (an asset);
• Valid driver's licence (Class 5);
• Able to handle hazardous materials.

Training
• Holding a competency card issued by the CPA (2nd or 3rd class);
• Having training from the Volkswagen Academy (an asset).
